Time For Inventory and More Game Camera
Was the Hydrostatic trans the only option.. my Branson 3510 had the 4 speed with a 3 speed sub tranny. When I sold it just over 11yrs of ownership and FT work, it had just over 3000 hrs on it and never failed. Starter was the weak link on the whole thing. I'd buy another one. There was a Kioti dealer a few miles away.. but the ZERO % interest is why I chose Branson. Nothing down and I put it on auto payments and it more than paid for itself. Sold it for just less than half of what i paid. I had a 6yd dump trailer I hauled it in. Same guy bought both, even though I sold the tractor first.
The Kioti comes with the hydrostat or gear drive. I wanted the hydrostat. Kioti was offering Zero % last year when I got mine. I'm not sure if they still are now though.
I just subscribed.. I'm in my '28 RV and have built 2 solar arrays for about 2400w, 800Ah lithium. I've got shore power, but not using it. I'm prepping for my offgrid future.
That's awesome. Thanks for subscribing.
You got alot of projects.. What area is that..? I've been looking for land in Kingman and there are no or very few trees like that there. I used to have a Branson 3510. Was a pretty good little tractor.. and was just a bit bigger than yours. I had most of the implements and the backhoe.
My place is near Ashfork and Seligman.
I have a quick question you can answer. Would you rebuy the kioti? If not then, what would you buy?
Absolutely! But I certainly don't want to pay for it again 😂. If I didn't have a need for a PTO, I would go with a slightly used mini excavator and a skid steer like a bobcat or something similar. My tractor can do most of what both of those machines can do, just slower.
So the brand is been good? I am contemplating purchasing when I get back down to Arizona this month.
How many acres? I’d be worried about the dog getting bit by a snake.
We have 48 acres. There is always a possibility that she could be bit by a snake. Oddly enough, I still haven't seen one on my land yet, but I know they are there.
@@AZOFFGRID Wow, that’s a big piece of land. Cool.
@@AZOFFGRID I just remembered that two years ago this past April I had a close contact with a rattlesnake in Yuma. I had a portable solar panel outside and I was disconnecting and packing it up and as I tilted it I saw a snake a foot from my leg. He could have easily bitten my hands or leg but thank god he didn’t, I saw his tail shaking but couldn’t hear anything, scared the hell out of me.
@@timthompson8297 plenty of room for future projects.
@@timthompson8297 that is way too close for comfort. I have encountered several rattle snakes near Yuma, but none at my property yet. Other property owners have dealt with them, but I have been lucky.
I know the feeling.
Arizona is one of the best places in the WORLD for hiking and backcountry treks and I've seen many places. I live here now because of it, in Flagstaff. Utah is also incredible. Arizona/Utah, my favorite places in the world.
Yep. Arizona isn't all desert like most people think. There is plenty of desert and forest hiking throughout the state.
Looking good..lots of work no doubt 👍👍cool find too!
Thank you. You know all too well that the work never ends.
Matching set find is awesome. My opinion is those are from this year (probably late March-May). Nice job putting that young man to work helping Dad
Thank you.
I'm New to your channel. Do you consider the juniper a good tree
I do. It burns hot when properly seasoned and it has similar properties and odor to cedar.
something to consider.....with that tractor u could get a bag of deer elk seed in the hunting dept almost anywhere for cheap and do a say 25x25 feed plot to attract animals. just an idea. just rough up the dirt spread the seed and if it grows it grows.
I've thought about that in the past. I'll probably wait and do it when I live there full time.
I'm glad to see getting more done on the homestead. Take care and have a wonderful weekend
Thank you. You too.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you.
Love the way you operate!!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you.
Short video showing how much fun you have up there. Man with a plan.
Nothing but fun.
Place looks better and better - keep up the good work
Will do. Thanks.
👍👍
Thank you.
Great progress bro, looks awesome
Thanks dude.
Looks great. Thanks for the update. Take care and have a wonderful week ahead
Thank you.
Your batteries are screwed, if they're led acid.
90? Big deal. Hard to do much better than that in Arizona in July.
Invasive species 100 Years ago none of those trees were there
That can be said about any region across the planet, depending on the time frame.
The best way to clean out your storage is to finish projects.
The work never ends on the homestead
Very true.
Looks great man! I have the really big jackhammer and even that has a hard time with that caliche
Thank you. Arizona has some tough land to work.
You are correct….back breaking work, I hope I don’t have rock like that on my property, haven’t found any yet (E of Snowflake). Putting my home north of Seattle for sale this month or next, lots of finishing touches to do, but may get down that way mid may with a load of crap to move….be nice to meet up and take care of that beer I owe you.
I would be happy to have a beer with you, but you owe me nothing.
Crazy bro....
Yep.
Great info, thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
I have a 20 Acre Off Grid Homestead 7 miles South of Ashfork and ran across the same Issue with Rock, did some research and found in the 70's My place was actually a Mining Claim, the Rock was called "Ferberite" basically a mix of Iron and Tungten, ruined a couple of Blade Bits Myself, still struggling but I'm persistent...lmao 🤣👍🤠
The first post hole must have had that type of rock below. I couldn't even hammer drill into it.
@@AZOFFGRID Seriously thinking Masonry Saw with Diamond Blade... lol 🤠
I thought about doing that, but I don't have one and I didn't want to wait.
You made some pretty good process. I'm gonna have to deal with the same thing on my property. I do have a bunch if basalt, so I just hope it's fractured, or porous. Either way, it will be a long road for me as well. Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing that gate up
Gates installed in the next video. I have a third gate to install before I edit and upload. It will be a few weeks before I'm back up to my place though.
Looks like fun, thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
Thumbs Up
Thank you.
A GSD went running through my property with a vest like your dog had on, wondering if that was your dog? I put in two sets of gates in ground just like yours. Lots of drilling with a SDS Max..went down 2' with all 4 6x6 posts, lots of work.
Likely not my dog. She hasn't worn that harness in over a year and she's never more than 100 yards from me at any time.
@AZOFFGRID have asked people I have met in the area and no one knows anything about the dog I saw
@@Step-n-Wolf people lose their dogs on the ranch from time to time. There are packs of feral dogs that use to be pets, running around the ranch. I've caught them on my surveillance system in the past.
@AZOFFGRID because this dog had a vest it stood out vs typical lost dogs. People agonize over lost dogs but didn't invest in security. I value my dog so she has an air tag and a cellular tracker on her.
👍👍
👍
Looking good. I did get a sneak peak in person though.
More than a peak. You went hands on.
Yes sir, more to come I'm sure.
Therefore the second I thought you were gonna drill and do that Expanding injection foam, that cracks rocks.
I don't know anything about that stuff. I will look into it.
😎👍
It's about time for another group photo and I have more vacation in September/October. If you are feeling like a road trip that is.
@@AZOFFGRID As much as I'd love that, this fall is looking like it's gonna get a bit crazy for me. At this point, I'm just hoping I can make it down to see my son & folks in FL for the holidays!
No worries man. When time permits, maybe we get together then.
I’ll be doing something similar soon hopefully. Not sure if it would work but if you had a big roto hammer u could possibly drill holes in the rock then drive a few pieces of rebar into the rock to help tie in the concrete to the rock even more. As always good to see more updates. 👍🏼
Thank you. I tried to drill holes in the harder rock under the first post with a large hammer drill and quality masonry bits. I was getting nowhere so I gave up on that idea. It would have probably worked in the second hole though.
awesome job
Thank you.
Looks great and a great addition to your property. Take care, and have a wonderful week ahead
Thank you.
New sub. Very nice chunk of land
Thank you.
How many loads of drying can you do with that 20lb propane tank? I assume using low heat mode to lenghten the propane usage. Love your videos. Great info! Keep up the great work. Thanks for inspiring others.
Thank you. I actually run it on regular heat. I don't know the exact number of loads because I only use it when I'm there for over a week, but I would have to say it's somewhere between 10 and 15 loads. Basically I used the same bottle for about two years before running out, but only used it while I was there on different vacations. Sometimes I would do three or four loads while I was there with sleeping bags, bedding and clothes.
I have about 2500 watts of solar panels, and one 4000-watt ac converter to run an ac. And I have a 3500-watt converter to run the washer and tv, computer, stereo and lights and accessories.
It sounds like you have a pretty nice setup.
What is the weather like ...summer and winters?
The summer high is usually in the mid 90's. I have seen it over 100 before. The winters are cold. Overnight lows can get below zero, but usually between 10 and 20 degrees. Some winters have light snowfall, and some winters with three feet of snowfall in a week.
Rocks everywhere at ours….feel your pain.
Probably is one of many reasons why the land was so cheap.
Thank you very much for the video... I enjoyed it.
Thank you.
2-16’ gates with a removable center post would have been more than wide enough…. Center post fits into buried pipe and is easily removed/locked ending with approximately 32’-33’ wide opening . With the amount of area you have cleaned/cleared any half way decent driver/operator should be able to make the turn in ,even extra long loads and a 90- 180 degree turn … you left plenty of swing area on both sides of the gate. Also the center removable post can be locked onto either or both gates and or to the submerged pipe if you got any welding skills or know of anybody with welding skills. I think you’ve made a good decision, but I think adding a third gate will weaken the post that you’re going to be putting in that you say you can remove easily.
The third gate will be mounted to a third post. I still have a lot of video editing to do.
I feel your pain. We have the problem with bedrock as well. We are inbetween 2 underground rock mountains. Perfect soil right where our trailer is at, but within a couple hundred feet to the left and right and you find that mountain
It makes me wonder how I will get a septic system in the ground in the future.
@@AZOFFGRID might be time to look into a jackhammer attachment for the tractor. Maybe there's one that just takes the place of the shovel on the backhoe. The down side to that would be the need to swap it out to use the shovel to get out what you just broke up. I see other issues with doing that too. I wish you luck
@@WindwalkerHomestead that's an interesting thought. I may look into that in the future.
Thanks for sharing, be careful out there.
I will. Thanks Ron.
Would some kind of sleeve for the post make sense Basically a post inside of a pipe. Leave the sleeve a couple of inches above ground level, maybe cut a couple of notches on the sleeve and weld a couple of brackets on the post to lock it into place. Would be easier to remove & replace. Just a thought 🤷🏻♂️
I suppose if I could visualize it, but with a backhoe, it's no problem pulling it out and re-setting the post.
